Site Assessment Route Submission

Help Improve The Map

Are you planning a coastal expedition this summer? Interested in exploring and assessing sites not yet visible on the BC Marine Trails map? We’re looking for paddlers, sailors, and boaters to submit their route plans so we can provide a list of potential sites along your journey to assess. Your observations help us verify access points, campsite conditions, collect photos, and more — contributing to a growing network of safe and sustainable sites along BC’s coast.

How to get involved:

  1. Submit your planned route.
  2. Receive a list of sites to assess, and additional information / resources.
  3. Share your observations and help shape the future of coastal recreation! Check out the site assessment process here.
Lat long, BCMT site name, nearby geographic location all accepted. Not required to list sites if a map document is uploaded below. Alternatively, paste a google earth link of your route.
Drag & Drop Files, Choose Files to Upload You can upload up to 10 files.
Upload a map of your route — ideally a .kml or .gpx file. Alternatively, this could be a screenshot of the BCMT map route planning tool, a PDF using the BCMT map print tool, or any other way to visually communicate your intended route. Not required if planned sites are listed above.
