Our First Nations engagement program is going strong with some level of engagement going on with approximately 40 of 74 coastal First Nations. Our full time First Nations, liaison, Cameron Dalinghaus, and First Nations chair, Norman Marcy will speak to some of the current situations we are dealing with.

In 2015, BC Marine Trails opened their first marine trail, the Sea to Sky Marine Trail in Howe Sound. In 2017, the Sea Kayak Association of BC partnered with Recreation Sites and Trails BC to develop and maintain six recreation sites on the trail. Join Steve Best, SKABC’s Howe Sound Marine Trail Steward, on a journey to the sites, and hear about the work SKABC and BC Marine Trails has been doing on this trail.
