2026 Annual General Meeting

Elections, updates, what’s ahead, and how to get involved

We are excited to announce that our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on November 28th, 2026, at 10 AM, on Zoom. RSVP below.

At the AGM, we will hold elections, share important updates, outline what’s coming next for BC Marine Trails, and discuss how you can get involved in our upcoming initiatives.

Following the AGM, hear from Saya Masso, Lands Manager for the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation in Clayoquot Sound. Saya is a Tla-o-qui-aht member, and has worked for the past 20 years for his Nation growing and establishing its Tribal Park program, and laying the groundwork for one of the first Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) in Canada. Saya’s presentation will cover the intersection of recreation and Indigenous rights on the coast.

BC Marine Trails is seeking additional board members, to be voted in at our November 28th AGM (2026). In particular, we are seeking individuals with skills / interest in any of the following:

  • Finance / accounting
  • Fundraising / donor engagement
  • First-hand knowledge of BC Coastal Sites
  • Reviewing information to help keep our map up-to-date

Interested in joining our 12-person board? Reach out to Karina at president@bcmarinetrails.org.

Board members commit roughly 10 hours/month (4 hours in meetings, 6 hours of working time). Mentorship and support are provided, and previous experience with BC Marine Trails is not required.
