Join us on the Friday night at the group campsites at Newcastle Island so you're well-positioned to take part in the Saturday morning events. Arrive in the late afternoon or evening and there will be a meet-and-greet social gathering, speakers and events to fill your evening, or can you enjoy the town and/or nearby amenties or stroll the park's trails. Combine it with a stay Saturday night to fully enjoy the weekend events. Note that you may also be able to reserve private campsites on Newcastle Island at Discover Camping BC online (limited space available, not within the jurisdiction of BC Marine Trails).
Food and beverages, as well as free potable water in the campground, will be available for purchase at the Newcastle Island pavilion, local service providers in Nanaimo and at special events. We hope to even offer some free meals! However, please plan to be self-sufficient.
Registration for workshops and events is separate from camping registration. Not all workshops and events will be available online immediately for registration. Please check back often to our website. We will send notifications of added items by email.
Participation in the weekend events does not require camping at Newcastle Island. Other local accommodation will be available, enabling day trips to the island activities.
A waiver is required for all on-water activities. Only one waiver is required for all activities.
Cancellations of weekend pass and campsites must be on or before Aug. 31, 2017 to receive a refund.
