Quadra Island Clean Up and Site Condition Reporting Kayak Trip

BCMTNA will be actively following up on previous Site Condition Report documentation of 2016. While several opportunities are in the early planning stages, your stewardship committee is pleased to announce the following agenda and area for cleanup and site improvements:

 Travel day to Campbell River-Quadra Island ferry - travel by car to Harriet Bay, Quadra Island 14th June 2017; Launch from Harriet Bay and travel to Breton Islands and / or Read Island Provincial Park 15th June 2017; Whale Passage (base camp for 16th and 17th), Frederic Point 16th June 2017; Penn Islands (day trip) 17th June 2016; Harriot Bay and home 18th June 2016.

 Requirements - Do you have some experience paddling?
 
We are seeking volunteers to help provide light cleanup, and other work (e.g. dismantle fire pits,.remove ropes from trees).
 
Volunteers will have to be self sufficient with food, kayak/boat gear and camping equipment. Limited funds available for ferry travel (pre-approved), Vehicles must transport two kayaks and paddlers at minimum. to qualify for ferry expenses.  

These cleanups are a lot of work, but they are also great fun and rewarding! Limit of 12 individuals with preference to members of BCMTNA.
