Landing Comments:

Easy on sand, shell, gravel beach at all tides on N side of tombolo-like beach. S side is much rougher. N aspect. Some protection from NW, S. Scattered boulders, rock outcrops.

Camp Comments:

1 upland cleared site, fire pit on N point. Beach camping on 2-6 cm angular gravel, pebble in small level areas at most water levels including over 4.5 m, but might flood on tides over 4.9 m.

Other Comments:

A Kayak Bill site, but little remains. Some reporters give camping location slightly to SW of point.

In 2012 the Kayak Bill camp was mostly gone and I doubt that any sign of it today belongs to the jungle. In 2012 the entry to the camp was nearly impossible to find and what remained (base of the fire stand, colored beads and Bill’s signature cedar split wood) would have only been recognized by someone who knew what they were looking at.
