Broad sand beach. Expect surf. Difficult except in calm weather. SW portion by rocky outcrop usually easiest landing at high water, when poles at sand spit might be visible.
Camp Comments:
Beach camping. User maintained old cabin in good condition at last report 2014. Camping fees apply 1 May to 30 September. Either pre-pay permit via Internet or at San Josef Bay trailhead, but no reservable sites. Green throne toilet. Report of overgrown trails (2021).
Other Comments:
Isolated. Attractive. Rough, muddy hiking trail to Sea Otter Cove, San Josef Bay. See: Cape Scott Provincial Park
